Your questions about hosting
Do I need to be with Infomaniak to work with you?+
No. We also work with other hosting providers and on private (VPS) or dedicated servers. Infomaniak is an option we offer because we are a partner and know its tools well.
Who owns my domain and my hosting?+
You do. They are opened in your Infomaniak account, with your company as the owner. We access them as a partner.
Who bills me for hosting?+
It's your choice: either Infomaniak bills you directly on your account, or you leave the billing to us and everything appears on our invoice. Our management work appears on our quote.
Can I keep my emails with Microsoft 365 or Google?+
Yes. The website can be at Infomaniak and the emails elsewhere: we configure the DNS so both work.
Will my website go down during the transfer?+
We first prepare the website and emails at Infomaniak, then switch the domain over on a date agreed with you. Your visitors move to the new address without you having to do anything.
What if I want to change providers later?+
Your services are already in your account: you carry on with whoever you want, without moving anything.
Is maintenance mandatory?+
No. You choose it after the website goes live; it's never imposed. Without a contract, we work by the hour when you need us.
How much does management cost?+
On quote, depending on the number of domains, websites and email addresses.
